I am a Pregnant Slacker!!

I am feeling very guilty I have not been keeping up with the blog. It has now been over a month since I last wrote. But, we have been very, very busy!! Let's see....here is a summary of what has been happening:
  • Our most adorable godson, Liam Charles Gregory, was baptized on April 3, 2010! We were thrilled to play such a meaningful role in the big day and are honored to be his godparents.
  • My wonderful mom and dad came to visit in early April! That weekend Jeff and my dad painted the nursery! Very exciting. The following weekend Jeff and my father-in-law began building the baby furniture. So, far the dresser/changing table (thanks Nonny!), glider rocker (thanks Star, Andrew and Liam!) and the bookcase have been put together. We have the crib and will be putting that up shortly!
  • Jeff decided to come with me on one of my work trips to NYC. We had a great time and stayed just outside of Times Square! We enjoyed some yummy meals out and also found time to see Phantom of the Opera (wonderful....Gherkin seeemed to like it....he moved around like crazy the entire time). Also, while we were in Times Square we went to the visitor's center and wrote a wish for Gherkin on a piece of confetti that with be tossed over Times Square this coming New's Year's Eve.
  • We helped our adorable neice Allison celebrate her 6th birthday by attending her family party as well as working at her Carnival themed friend party. All of her friends from school came! Jeff dressed up as the carnival barker and I was in charge of the carnival treats (only makes sense to put the pregnant woman in charge of food!)
  • Last weekend Jeff and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniverssary with a trip to Portland, Maine! We had a great time and were able to catch 2 Portland Seadog baseball games, did some shopping for the babe on the way and enjoyed a nice dinner out together. This will be our last mini vacation as a two-some!!
  • This weekend we are off to Oneida to visit my mom, dad and grandmother's for Mother's Day. We are also headed to a Syracuse Skychiefs game with Derek and Bri to celebrate his 27th birthday (wow....we are getting old)!

So, that is what we have been up to! Baby Gherkin has been very active! We cannot wait for him to get here...94 more days to go!! That just does not seem possible!
